Altura Learning has been delivering specialist online education to the aged care sector for over 20 years. The organisation provides evidence-based, rich media training to more than 400 care organisations and 175,000 learners worldwide, with a library of 300+ courses covering residential care, home care and compliance. Altura's clinical content is designed to equip carers with practical, competency-based training aligned with aged care quality standards and regulatory expectations. Courses use real-life scenarios and video-based learning to increase engagement and retention. The platform offers flexible delivery methods that integrate with existing learning management systems or can be accessed through Altura's own LMS, designed to fit across different sites and shifts. The organisation originated in the 1980s as pioneers of Australia's first TV training network, delivering live interactive education via satellite television to doctors and pharmacists. In the 1990s they shifted focus to the care sector, and launched the Aged Care Channel (ACC TV) in 2009 before evolving into the current Altura Learning platform.
