Digital Health & Care Northern Ireland

Digital Health and Care NI (DHCNI) is the data and technology lead to the health and social care system in Northern Ireland. Their mission is to harness the power of digital to improve health and care for the population, while improving working practices for all HSC staff. DHCNI ensures everyone's data is protected by assuring the quality, safety and security of data and information flows across the health and social care sector. They empower individuals to use digital tools to care for themselves and take control of their own health and wellbeing, if they choose to do so. DHCNI provides staff with access to high quality information and digital resources needed to deliver safe, high quality and efficient care that meets regional and local need. The organisation leads major initiatives including the encompass Programme, which introduces a digital integrated care record to Northern Ireland using the latest technology. This HSC-wide initiative will help the health service work more effectively and efficiently through regional standardisation and best practice, creating better experiences for those receiving, using and delivering services.
