Carers UK

Carers UK is a national charity supporting unpaid carers across the United Kingdom who care for family members or others who are older, disabled or seriously ill. With 5.8 million unpaid carers in the UK, the organisation provides expert information, advice and support on financial matters, practical caring issues, health and wellbeing, work and career rights, and access to benefits and assessments. The organisation campaigns to improve recognition and support for carers, running initiatives such as Carers Week, Carers Rights Day and the Carer Poverty Coalition. Carers UK offers a helpline, online forums, meetups and an Affiliate professionals network. Members receive free access to resources including Policy Plus monthly digests, the Caring magazine, webinars and priority event invitations. The charity also works with employers through programmes such as Employers for Carers and Carer Confident, and publishes annual State of Caring research highlighting the economic contribution and challenges faced by unpaid carers.
