Nobi

Nobi is a smart lighting system that combines optical care sensors and artificial intelligence in a stylish lamp designed for elderly care environments. The system detects falls within seconds, notifies care staff, and enables rapid intervention with an average response time of four minutes. Care homes using Nobi have reported an average 55% reduction in falls, and the company states that to date every fall has been detected by their lamps. Nobi offers three lamp models: Nobi Pendant and Nobi Ceiling for living rooms and bedrooms (available in desert and slate), and Nobita for smaller spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms and toilets (available in white). The system provides fall prevention through automatic lighting when residents get in and out of bed, circadian rhythm-aligned lighting, and proactive alerts for care staff. Additional features include sleep pattern monitoring, cough detection, two-way hands-free communication through the lamp, and remote door unlocking for home settings. The solution is designed for care homes, hospitals, and home care settings, providing care staff with a dashboard for monitoring activity across all Nobi-equipped rooms. The system aims to reduce the time care staff spend on administration whilst improving personalised care through data-driven insights into residents' sleep patterns, health and daily activities.
