Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust

Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) is a housing association established more than 110 years ago by Joseph Rowntree to provide housing in communities and work alongside the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. The Trust manages approximately 2,620 homes across the North East of England, including York, Scarborough, Beverley, Leeds and Hartlepool. Half of these homes are located in the village of New Earswick, York. JRHT provides comfortable, affordable and secure homes to single people, couples, families, and older people. Some homes have been adapted to support people living with disabilities, and the Trust can also provide extra care and support if needed. The organisation is committed to providing 1,000 new homes by 2030 and offers shared ownership schemes to help people buy their own homes. As a registered care provider regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), JRHT provides care services tailored to people's needs, offering residential and nursing care as well as care within people's homes. Care and extra care provision is currently offered at Hartrigg Oaks, New Lodge in New Earswick, York, and Olive Lodge in Leeds. All care services are currently rated as Good by CQC.
